FAQ

We offer a premium, professional service that prioritizes quality, safety, and reliability. As an employer, I believe in fair compensation for my team. This includes competitive wages, paid training, incentives, bonuses, and paid time off—all of which help ensure consistent, high-quality care and reduce staff turnover.

We accept credit and debit card payments only.

I have undergone comprehensive background checks through both Community Action Partnership of Strafford County and New Hampshire Child Protective Services. Every Playtime Adventures team member also passes a background check. Additionally, we are bonded and insured, providing peace of mind and protection for our clients.

No. Cancellation credits must be used outside of recurring services or pre-purchased packages and within the specified timeframe. This policy helps reduce last-minute cancellations. However, we offer a monthly grace period and provide credit rather than keeping your payment—ensuring a fair solution for everyone.

Unfortunately, no. All pets must be comfortable with any team member. This ensures safe, consistent care and staff flexibility.

We do accept dogs that pull, but safety is our top priority. If the behavior becomes unmanageable despite reinforcement training and the use of alternative tools, we may need to discontinue services.

No. To ensure continuity of care and to allow team members time off, all pets must be comfortable with any Playtime Adventures staff member.

Enrichment activities are not automatically included in every visit, but we integrate them regularly. If you’d like to ensure enrichment is part of each visit, you can add it to your booking as an additional service.

Our standard hours are from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The last visit of the day is scheduled at 3:00 PM. Limited availability is offered outside of these hours, and additional fees may apply.

Please note: I am unavailable the third weekend of every month.

We do not jog with dogs. However, if your dog requires vigorous exercise, we can customize services to meet their needs. Activities like fetch, chase in the yard, or indoor stair games are often more effective ways to release energy than jogging.

Yes, we do—on a case-by-case basis. If a dog’s reactivity becomes unmanageable or poses a safety concern, we may need to discontinue services. However, we will first explore strategies and provide recommendations to support behavioral improvement before making that decision.

I am a certified dog walker, pet sitter, canine enrichment technician, and pet psychology specialist. I am also CPR and First Aid certified and trained in canine communication. My team is also CPR and First Aid certified, trained in professional dog walking and pet sitting, and completes a minimum of three months of hands-on training covering reinforcement-based handling, enrichment strategies, and behavior management.

We offer limited availability for visits outside regular hours, including weekends. A $5 additional fee applies. These bookings are first come, first serve.

We observe the following five holidays and do not offer services on these dates:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

Yes, weekend daytime care is available with a two-hour minimum and a four-hour maximum. If additional hours are needed, we can discuss customized availability and rates. During these visits, I remain in the home the entire time.

We require a two-hour window for all visits to ensure flexibility in our schedule and allow for proper time management across our clients.

No. We believe pets are most comfortable in their own home environment, so all services are provided in your home.

If a dog has bitten more than one person, we are unable to accept them. If there has been a single incident and the dog is not found to be aggressive, we may consider services on a case-by-case basis. However, if a dog is accepted and later demonstrates aggressive behavior, we will discontinue services immediately.

Payment is due two days prior to the scheduled service. Your card on file will be charged automatically.

No, as we want to ensure the safety of your dog as other dogs’ behavior can be unpredictable.
